Please be informed that ITSC will be carried out the POP and SMTP migration for Staff Email on 18^th Jan 2012, Wednesday from 00:00-01:00 .

During the migration period, UIC staff email service will be suspended.

Special attention:

1.Users who are using third party client station (eg. Outlook , or handphone) to receive their email message, please

1.1 After migration process, your Outlook/handphone will not receive email messages sent before 16^th Jan 2012 to avoid getting too many copies of messages. However, those messages received before the migration will not be affected.

1.2 Check your mail box from Zimbra webmail (http://mail2.uic.edu.hk) after the migration process to avoid missing any important messages. If there are important emails that need to be saved in your Outlook/handphone, please forward them to yourself.

2. Users who are using sharing function in the mail system, when adding a new share member please use This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. ITSC计划在2012年1月18日（周三）凌晨00:00-01:00期间对邮件系统外部客户端pop3及smtp服务进行迁移。迁移期间，教职员邮件系统服务暂停。

特别提醒！

1. 使用第三方客户端(如 Outlook，手提电话)收发邮件的用户，请注意，

1.1 为避免用户收到过多重复邮件，在迁移完成后，客户端不会收到2012年1月16日之前的邮件。（注：迁移前已接收至客户端的邮件不受影响）。

1.2 为避免错过重要邮件，请用户在迁移后登录至邮箱系统（http://mail2.uic.edu.hk)查看邮件。如果发现有重要邮件需保留但未传输到第三方客户端，请自行转发给自己账号。
