Notes for migrating UIC existing webmail system to Zimbra email system:
- ITSC will create an account for users to access the Zimbra system.
- The email user name and password remain unchanged.
- Path for accessing the Zimbra system http://mail2.uic.edu.hk.
- Two operation modes are available in Zimbra system, Standard（HTML）and Advanced. Advanced mode is strongly recommended especially for users using IE8,Firefox, and Opera browsers.
- The email capacity will increase to 1G byte, which includes web disk storage.
- ITSC will schedule a date to migrate your data from the existing system to Zimbra. Please pay close attention to ITSC emails.
- Data/information to be migrated to Zimbra:
- Mails in all system default folders, i.e. Sent, Inbox, Draft.
- Self-defined folders with English folder name.
- Self-defined contacts.
- Data/information will NOT be able to migrate:
- All data/documents in the web disk. Users need to manually download the data from web disk and then upload to Zimbra.
- Self-defined folder with Chinese folder name. Users need to rename the Chinese folder name to English before migration.
- Self-defined contact groups. Users need to recreate them in Zimbra address books.
- Once the account in Zimbra is activated, a TWO-WEEK transition period will allow users to send and receive mails from both new and existing system.

关于UIC邮件系统迁移至新系统Zimbra的注意事项：
- ITSC将为用户创建新邮件系统Zimbra账号。
- 登陆的账号及密码与旧系统相同。
- 新邮件系统的访问网址为：http://mail2.uic.edu.hk。
- 新系统分为标准（HTML）和高级两种模式。如果选择高级模式登录，推荐使用IE8，Firefox，Opera等浏览器。
- 新邮件系统的邮箱容量将扩大为1 G（含网络磁盘的容量）。
- ITSC将安排时间把用户的数据迁移至新邮件系统Zimbra。具体时间请密切留意ITSC的邮件通知。
- 以下数据/信息将自动迁移至Zimbra：
- 旧系统的所有默认文件夹（如Inbox，Sent, Draft等）；
- 以英文命名的自建文件夹；
- 自建联系人。
- 以下数据/信息将无法自动迁移至Zimbra：
- 网络磁盘的内容。用户必须手动地将旧系统网络磁盘的内容下载后，再上传至新邮件系统的网络磁盘上。
- 以中文命名的自定义文件夹。用户需要在系统迁移前，用英文重新命名文件夹。
- 自建联系群。用户需自行在新系统中重新建立。
- Zimbra账号一旦创建后，用户将有为期二周的过渡期。在这段时间内，用户可以通过新旧系统收发邮件。
