Rules and Regulations

  1. Based on the level of support required, users need to submit the requisition form (double sided printing) to ITSC, for self support: 1 day, onsite support: 3 days in advance.

  2. The equipment and supports are on first come first serve basis.

  3. The Activity/event's coordinators must clearly specify the requirement in the requisition form and clarify with ITSC staff when necessary. ITSC will not responsible for any consequences due to inappropriate arrangement by the organizer.

  4. Please follow and refer to individual rules and regulations for each IT equipment borrowing.

  1. Users must arrange with ITSC the collection date and time for the borrowed equipment and they must collect it personally from ITSC office before the activity commence. ITSC will not responsible for any delivering of equipment.

  2. If users are unable to operate the loan equipment properly, a training of using such equipment is necessity.

  3. It is users' responsibility to return the borrowed equipment on time. Any loss in postponed other activities due to delay in returning shall be born by the users. A Proof of Return will be issued upon equipment returned.

  4. Users need to responsible for any damage or missing of equipment, parts and accessories. Please refer to the rules and regulations for the relevant equipment.

  5. Users are fully responsible for the preparation and arrangement of the activity/event on schedule date. In order to work closely with the relevant staff for proper event preparation, users are required to be presence at the venue at least one hour before the event started.

  6. If an onsite service is requested, users need to endorse on the requisition form after the equipment is fully tested and setup.

  7. If the activity has cancelled regardless of any reason, users need to inform ITSC at least 1 hour ahead and endorse on the requisition form.

  8. ITSC will not responsible for any personal data lost in the borrowed notebook computer. Please refer to the rules and regulations for borrowing the notebook computer.

  9. Any data in any type of storage media that required access during the activity/event need to be tested in ITSC before the event commence. ITSC will not guarantee all types of data are readable; particularly the data are from the untested or damage media, pirated disk or having region restriction.

Procedures


1. Submission of Application
  • Users (the event/activity organizer or coordinator) are required to submit the requisition form to ITSC in advance, please refer to the requisition form for more details. The form is available in ITSC (F202) office or users may download it from http://itsc.uic.edu.hk (Please use double sided printing).
  • Users must specify clearly the requirement and clarify with ITSC staff if necessary. ITSC will not responsible for any consequences due to inappropriate arrangement by the organizer.
2. Borrowing IT Equipment
  • After the application is approved, users can follow the procedures and regulations to borrow the required equipment (on first come first serve basis).
  • Users must accept the borrowing agreement for each loan item, a training of operating the equipment may be required.
  • Users must arrange with ITSC the collection date and time for the borrowed equipment and they must collect it personally from ITSC office before the activity commence, ITSC will not responsible for any delivering of equipment.
3. Using IT Equipment
  • In order to work closely with the relevant staff for proper event preparation, users are required to be presence at the venue at least one hour before the event started,

UIC活动IT设备申请流程

1. 提交申请
  • 用户(即活动统筹负责人)按不同级别的活动需求【参看申请单上三种类型】,在规定的预约天数以前,提交申请到ITSC
    申请单可到ITSC【F202】领取,或直接在ITSC网站http://itsc.uic.edu.hk

  • 用户应确保申请需求清晰,通过申请单反映需支持的所有项目,并与ITSC沟通确认,因统筹规划不当等原因造成的会议失误,由其负责
2. 借用设备
  • 用户与ITSC共同确认支持需求及可行性后,按照有关规定办理设备借用手续(先借先得原则),与ITSC约定领用设备的时间
  • 若借用ITSC的笔记本电脑,投影设机等IT设备,即认同有关借用协议,若用户不能保证保合理及安全地使用有关设备,必须接受ITSC的使用培训
  • 活动正式开始前,用户应按约定到ITSC登记并领取有关设备
3. 使用设备
  • 活动正式开始前1小时以上,用户应到现场配合有关部门作好活动准备工作
  • 若需ITSC现场协助,在测试有关功能后应在申请单上签名确认
  • 若用户临时取消有关IT需求,应提前1小时以上通知ITSC,并在申请单上签名确认
  • 用户数据必须保存在个人移动磁盘上,ITSC电脑有保护功能 (详见笔记本电脑借用规定)
  • 不保证各种未经测试的,或介质损坏、盗版、区域限制等的电子文件或光盘的读取, 必须提前与ITSC确认及测试
4. 归还设备
  • 用户必须按约定归还所借IT设备(ITSC提供回执)
  • 用户归还设备时有损坏或丢失,或因拖延归还设备造成的其他活动被延迟等损失,由用户负责(参照有关规定)
